The NATA Championship seeks to crown the best of the best among Global Time Attack, Gridlife and SCCA time trial competition. At the most recent GTA event at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, defending NATA champions Feras Qartoumy, Jackie Ding and Devin Hofmann continued their winning ways.
Can Feras Qartoumy create an even faster Corvette than the one he used to win in America, Australia and Japan? That was the question entering this year’s Road Atlanta event, and while he didn’t beat his 1:17.725 lap record, he did win the Unlimited Tire class with a 1:22.155.
Jackie Ding brought out his trusted Toyota Supra instead of his new BMW M2 for only one reason: To beat the Street class record. He achieved that, with a 1:25.678 time, and earned himself top NATA honors for the Large 200tw Tire class.

Devin Hofmann returned with her Subaru WRX STI and took top spot in the Small 200tw Tire. Last year, she turned a 1:34.2 with 660 to 700 horses at the wheels. This time she came with a detuned ride, producing only 500 horses, to increase the longevity of the engine. That’s didn’t slow her down much as she turned a 1:35.8, just 1.6 seconds slower and still fast enough for the class win.

In reply to jfryjfry :
Good question. I know this car has some body differences. Let's see if I can find out.
Thanks for digging up the answer! I wonder if less drag > more downforce? Assuming the larger splitter made more df, that is
I wonder how to let him know I'll store his old stuff...
