The Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge presented by Tire Rack will be here before you know it, so book your accommodations now before you forget.

The Best Western Gateway Grand in Gainesville, Florida, will not only serve as our host hotel, but also the hub for the entire event. It’ll be the site of the Parking Lot Build, typically located in the back of the hotel. You will also see other competitors there putting the final touches on their rides, too.

In addition, find friendly conversations and food, with an on-site restaurant and hot breakfast served every morning.

The $2000 Challenge special room rate is $139/night. Reservations must be booked by Friday, March 7, 2025. To do so, click here or call 352-331-3336 and ask for the Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge rate.

What’s the Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge presented by Tire Rack? It’s where penny-pinching and extreme speed meet–often with spectacular results. Both cars built for less than $2000 and those over that amount can compete, although in their own respective classes. This year’s edition takes place March 29-30, 2025, at Gainesville Raceway in Florida. Visit the revamped 2000challenge.com for details.

The Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge is presented by Tire Rack, in association with CRC Industries, HPX Show, Miller Electric and BendPak.

Here was my view for the 2023 edition. Unfortunately that was the only view I got because I got sick in my travels. Ugh. 😩

Do most people roll in on Thursday? I was under the impression that things got started Friday afternoon?

I came down on Thursday night the last 2 years.  Nothing much going on at that point.  It does start kicking off on Friday mid morning towards noon.

Also, are there any non king suites available?

2 beds would be more better for me and my buddies.

Just booked! They only have kings available that weekend, but some have a pull-out sofa bed.

I saw that but was thinking it would be cheaper/easier to fly into one of the surrounding larger cities.

If you need help with anything on the car when you get there, I kinda owe you.

You'll need to log in to post.
