The USCA is a competitive national-points time trial series for street cars.

This afternoon we will be paid a visit by the Ultimate Street Car Association during the road rally segment of their weekend’s competition.

The USCA is a new association primarily designed to bring a focus to the performance street car industry by providing a platform for the businesses, manufacturers, and service providers to showcase their products and services to a specific and targeted audience. They also provide a venue for all levels of performance enthusiasts to come out and enjoy their cars in a safe environment.

The series is unique in that it is a competitive national-points time trial series with a championship held in Las Vegas right after the SEMA show. It also offers a non-points participation entry package for those that don’t want the pressure of competition. They have run groups from beginners to expert, along with five complimentary instructors at each event to help the less experienced drivers learn how to be safe, have fun and go faster. Outside of NASCAR, USCA is one of the only points series to host events at iconic tracks in all regions of the country such as Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Daytona International Speedway, Road America, Portland International, etc. They run five segments - road rally, autocross, speed stop, design & engineering, and road course over a 2.5 day weekend experience for $500. There’s hardly a more valuable track experience available.

All of this action is being captured by MavTV for a 13 episode TV series that will start airing in August called: OPTIMA’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car. The TV series will follow the sponsors, the participants and the cars as they prepare and compete for an invitation to the championship event at the 2014 SEMA show. The show is all about highlighting and developing the “regular Joe” participants, appealing to a wide group of automative enthusiasts and inspiring them to bring their cars out and participate.
