Wow, that was unexpected.

Organizers announced this morning that the Creventic 24 Hour Series Powered by Hankook endurance race–originally set for November 18-20 at the legendary race track–has been canceled citing “continued global shipping issues.”
Sebring previously hosted the series last November, though Creventic notes that both itself and many of the European-based teams experienced delays in the arrival of cars and equipment–in some cases, arriving after the start time of the race.
At this time, organizers are looking for a European-based event to replace Sebring, though the remaining 24 Hour Series schedule is unchanged.
thats unbelievable
thats one of those races that I figured would be a "the show must go on" type of deal
Unfortunate as I was looking forward to this event. That said, there may be other issues as well. Creventic grids have been noticeably smaller this year with GT3 cars the most effected.
After 24 hours on that track, you might as well sell the wore out one and just build a new car. Could be a lot of teams just decided against beating themselves up again.
I don't know if it's changed but one of the draws of the series was that the entry fee included transportation for the team cars. I can see logistics being a pain trying to corral 30+ cars from all over Europe to various shipping points.
