Two brothers, two Daytona 500 winners, two lasting NASCAR legacies.
We’re talking about the Waltrip brothers, Darrell and Michael, who will both be honored with North Carolina Achievement Motorsports Tribute Awards at the North Carolina Motorsports Association’s annual awards ceremony, this year set for June 4 during the very first High Performance Expo in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“Honoring Darrell and Michael Waltrip for their life’s passion and work in motorsports will be an exciting and memorable evening,” said Greg Walter, NCMA Board Chair and Charlotte Motor Speedway president and general manager. “This will be an exciting celebration of racing and a night to honor two great racers who inspired and entertained us for many, many years.”
Past recipients of the Tribute Awards include Bill France Jr., Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt (Sr. and Jr.), Jack Roush and Robert Yates.
Tickets for the NCMA Industry Awards are now available via registration for HPX.
