Would two pounds of bacon entice you to buy a Tremec transmission kit? That’s the hope behind American Powertrain’s #BaconShift promotion.

Now through January 6, if you buy one of its ProFit five- or six-speed manual overdrive transmission kits, American Powertrain will throw in two pounds of Benton’s bacon–free–plus a $250 discount towards the kit.

Apparently, everything is better with bacon, including transmission kits.

Do I need a transmission kit? Not really, but how could I say no to all that bacon?

Does bacon grease make a good substitute for gear oil?

Not sure about this deal, but I'd love to have a TKX 5 speed for future projects.

Benton's is some of the best bacon I've ever had... Price reflects that too...

The Benton's Bacon connection made me realize that American Powertrain is just down the road from me.  Benton's is bacon legend, exported to Michelin star restaurants all over the country.  It's unique and a rare treat.
