Sometimes, the most satisfying part of working on a project car isn't tackling the big stuff, but rather fixing up all the little things.
After our adventure to pick up our Callaway-turbocharged 1984 VW Rabbit GTI from Montana, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had a pretty decent car on our hands—even if it was a little rough around the edges.
That's why, in our most recent update, we focused on fixing and restoring a few smaller items, like a broken hood latch and windows that struggled to roll up and down.

I find the little things to be the most satisfying. They show attention to detail and all tied together can make or break a restoration.
I.e. my S2000s interior was in rough shape when I got it. I replaced the carpet, floormats, shift knob, shift boot, radio door, and steering wheel. Something seemed off and when I looked closer it was the radio and HVAC buttons that needed tending too. The interior is mint now.
