Interesting to see Goodyear supply the spec tire for a production-based car. More deals like this to come?

The SCCA announced today that Goodyear will be the official tire supplier for the B-Spec class for the 2024-2026 Road Racing seasons.
B-Spec competitors can start using the Goodyear Eagle RS D4850 and the Eagle RS-R D4851 wet-weather option starting today, October 16. Both tires become mandatory starting on January 1, 2024, in the U.S. Majors Tour, Hoosier Super Tour and Runoffs events.

Starting on December 1 and running through the 2026 season, Goodyear has set the retail price for the RS and RS-R at $199 and $210 each, respectively.
Goodyear also plans to support B-Spec racers through a contingency program–with details set to be announced in the near future–as well as trackside sales, mounting, balancing and technical support at each SCCA Super Tour series event, including the National Championship Runoffs.
