Mark you calendars: Gridlife, in partnership with Jzilla Track Days, is bringing its TrackBattle Time Attack Series to Barber Motorsports Park June 10-11.

Best described as a “high-speed, timed competition that challenges drivers to set the fastest lap time possible,” TrackBattle sees some of the fastest cars compete at some the most iconic tracks from around the country.

"We're thrilled to partner with Jzilla Track Days for this event and bring our TrackBattle Time Attack series to Barber Motorsports Park," said Adam Jabaay, co-founder of GRIDLIFE. "Barber is an iconic track that offers a perfect blend of technical challenges and high-speed sections, and we're excited to bring TrackBattle Time Attack to this world-class facility."

"We are incredibly excited to bring more Time Attack events to the Southeast” said James Marcellana, founder of Jzilla Trackdays. “The GRIDLIFE team I have been talking about a collaboration for 8 years but we've been swamped growing our brands.  We finally had the meeting of the minds and we are excited to host a time attack with such an iconic organization in the industry."

Registration for TrackBattle at Barber Motorsports Park opens today (February 20) at 10 a.m. Those interested are encouraged to sign up as early as possible.

I'm interested, but it seems super pricey.  Not to mention the requirement for a spec tire.

Are these the only options or am I missing something?

In reply to BA5 :

There are only 2 classes of Time trial that require any specific tire and even then it's open to any Falken 200W and up. Street, street g, street mod, track mod are all open. HPDE is open for anything as always.

EDIT: as for the price.... if you've not done a GL event, you must. It's truly a different experience. The culture, the people, the atmosphere is unlike anything I've experienced to date. If MWF wasn't the weekend before this I'd be figuring out how to get there.
