Hella Sweet!

It’s not every day we get the chance to drive a Toyota Corolla race car in a nationwide racing series, so we jumped at the opportunity.
By “Toyota Corolla race car,” we mean a ’97 Corolla sedan that once competed in our $2000 Challenge, and by “nationwide racing series,” we actually mean the 24 Hours of Lemons.
GRM Publisher Tom Suddard will be competing in the 24 Hours of Lemons Shine Country Classic 2024 at Barber Motorsports Park February 3-4 with South Paw Customs and its low-buck Corolla racer.
Associate Editor Chris Tropea will also be on the ground to document the adventure, so be sure to say hello if you see us.
We’d also like to thank Tire Streets for hooking us up with a prototype set of Armstrong 200tw tires to test out during the race.
The last time I was at Barber for Lemons was with our VW Fox and it was a blast. I cant wait to go back in a few weeks.
