This is what the start looked like from the back of the grid.
I decided to record the whole race because the replays don't seem to render the mayhem moments as well as the real time event.
Massively powerful RUF-tuned Porsches with awful handling faced off against massively sticky Formula Mazdas with tiny restrictor plates in a BOP battle at Sebring International Raceway this past Monday evening in the first of three online races of this week's GRM winter iRacing series.
The BOP adjustments seemed to even the field before the start–the top-10 grid positions were occupied by five RUFs and five Formula Mazdas–but the standing start gave the AWD RUFs an initial advantage that was difficult for the stickier Mazdas to overcome.
Tom O’Gorman won a flag-to-flag victory after taking the lead from the green on a well-timed second-gear clutch dump that gave him enough of a lead to stay out of the Turn 1 fracas. Although the larger and smaller cars had more than a few co-spatial events during the competition, most of the racing was surprisingly clean, despite a wide range of skill levels from top-level sim racers to novices who just finished unwrapping the sim rig they got for Christmas.
Our Winter iRacing series continues Tuesday, December 29, at 10 p.m. Eastern with another gimmicky but enjoyable contest that will give Mazda MX-5s a 10-lap head start on some Indy Cars at Daytona’s oval. The week will culminate Wednesday, December 30, with a tribute to Historic IMSA at Sebring in a race that will be broadcast live on SYM TV on our Facebook and YouTube feeds as well as embedded on our own website. For Wednesday feature, tune in at 10 p.m. Eastern.
Complete details for both entrants and spectators can be found in this thread.

Please check the Discord for updates on tonight's race. Due to limited capacity we're doing two shorter races instead of one. First one stil starts at 10pm, but there will be a second opportunity at 11pm eastern if you miss that one, or if you ran the first one but want to switch cars.
I need to increase my render limit.

Tonight's racing was really fun, too. Closest finish of my life. I backed off to try to get a run on the other car, got it half-done, but lost the position inches before the line. I didn't know who was ahead until I looked at the results.

Is there a way to spectate? I don't have any kind of rig, not sure this 4-5yr old Dell is even up to it anyway. But thinking it might be fun to watch.
In reply to Jerry :
Like @tbear2500 posted above, there are some Twitch live streams of the race. But finding them might be the harder part.
