A Japanese hatchback with a rally-inspired design that’s powered by a three-cylinder engine.
No, we’re not talking about the Toyota GR Corolla, but the Mitsubishi Mirage.
In case you missed it, the Mirage–as well as the Outlander, Eclipse Cross and Outlander Sport–can be had in a Ralliart trim that harkens back to the legendary Ralliart machines that competed in the WRC of old.
At least in theory:
Slip inside the 2024 Mirage RALLIART and feel the rush of our rally origins. Savvy urban style gets an upgrade with a rally car look and feel that includes unique body effects, RALLIART graphics, a luxurious White Diamond finish, and exclusive accessories. Drive the winning legacy of our motorsports heritage in this one-of-a-kind, limited edition.
So yeah, it’s like the automotive equivalent of that one kid who peaked in high school who takes every opportunity to remind the room of that regional championship-winning touchdown.
But who is buying them?
You could say that no one is buying them, but we’ve seen a handful of used ones for sale online–so clearly there’s a buyer for this sort of car.
We have yet to see one on the road, but what about you? Have you seen one in the wild? Know someone who bought one?
