I foresee these whizzing through the paddocks of many race tracks very soon.

Imagine a scooter compact enough that it could fit in the trunk of your car so that you didn’t have to worry about finding the perfect parking spot, you could just park anywhere and ride your trunk scooter to your destination.
Well, that was one of the main selling points for the Honda Motocompo of the ’80s. In fact, the Rad-era scooter was perfectly designed to fit in the equally rad Honda City.
[The Honda City is a turbo commuter with a sidekick scooter]
Finding an original Motocompo can be tricky and expensive, but, luckily, Honda is bringing the Motocompo idea back, this time as an all-electric scooter called the Motocompacto.
Just like the Motocompo, the Motocompacto is designed to be easily folded and unfolded:
Uniquely foldable, Motocompacto quickly transforms into its own compact, light and stackable carrying case that's easy to take along in a vehicle, on public transportation or store in tight places.
Honda claims the all-new e-scooter has a range of up to 12 miles, a top speed of 15 mph and–using a 110-volt outlet–can be fully charged in under 4 hours.
There’s even a “clever phone app” that allows the rider to “adjust their personal settings, including lighting and ride modes, via Bluetooth®.”
Honda has set the MSRP for the Motocompacto at $995, with orders beginning in November at both Honda and Acura dealerships, as well as Motocompacto.honda.com.
There’s no word on a next-gen Honda City, however.
Specifications are as follows:
Love that it can lay flat.
The original was a good idea, but I'm sure people found out they didn't want a smelly 2 stroke in the back of their car.
What's going to be great is if Honda can do that for $1k (which is awesome), imagine what copies of it will be available on Amazon in the next year!
Also . I would of made the wheels turn 90⁰ in storage mode and put a telescoping handle on the box so you can wheel it around like a suitcase when stored.

I like that idea. It's like you're an engineer or something.
I just bought a 2024 Integra. I would gladly have paid extra for one of these, had it been offered as an option, especially considering how much extra space is in back where a spare tire should normally go.
I'm going to have to measure the cargo bay of the CRX now, but it's gotta fit. Now I just need to paint it Baltic Blue with grey accents.
