The last time a Ferrari-backed machine ran in the top class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it was 1973. But the Italian carmaker is looking to end that streak of absence with a Le Mans Hypercar entry for 2023.
LMH, alongside Le Mans Daytona hybrid, will replace both the Le Mans Prototype and Daytona Prototype classes. Both represent the future top classes in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Few details have been revealed about the entry so far, though Ferrari did make an announcement about the LMH entry on its social media channels earlier this week:
