According to a Facebook announcement by Ohio’s Nelson Ledges Road Course and the NEOHIO Region, SCCA, the Longest Day of Nelson Ledges is returning. Back in the day, this 24-hour race was a staple on the calendar, attracting both SCCA Club Racers and factory-backed pro teams.
The rejuvenated event will operate as an SCCA Restricted Divisonal for production-based cars. Machines prepared for other existing endurance series will be welcome, provided that they meet current SCCA safety regulations. More details to be released in early 2021.
Watch the announcement video below and learn more about the historic event over at Nonnamaker Racing as the family has been part of this event for decades.
Added bonus: Will Nonnamaker talks about the history of the Longest Day of Nelson Ledges, including his family's involvement.
