Selling a car on the internet somehow brings out some of the most interesting people alive, and their offers can range from unnecessarily shrewd horse trading to downright scams.
Out of all the offers you’ve gotten in the attempts of selling a car, which ones stand out as the most unusual or strange?
I've always been on the other end, having traded a 4 pack of craft beer for a car that I had running 45 seconds later.
The worst was having a car for sale for $2500 and a guy looked and left then called me back at 6am to pick it apart and offer $500 because he was too big a Bob Costas to do it in person. I loudly explained that fact to him.
never really had any weird offers just shiny happy people who are too scared to lowball in person so they call the next day to do so
It's been a few years but,
When I put any cheap car on Craigslist I would get offers for guns or weed or both. Never get that on marketplace. Just broken video game consoles.
Being a family friendly site I won't spell it out but I informed the seller it was my wife's car and she wouldn't be amused. Also blocked the number (craigslist days).

Was it an Amy type situation?
