It looks like they tried to go back to the old idea.
I loved the tumbler. That thing was so gnarly
There's a new Batmobile patrolling the gritty streets of Gotham city, and it is one mean-looking machine.
Matt Reaves, producer for the newest film incarnation of the "Batman," teased us with a few pictures of the new Batmobile. We think it sort of looks like Torino and a Pantera had a baby, but what do you think?
Also, what sort of Batmobile would you build if you made Bruce Wayne money?
If I had Bruce Wayne money? Jet turbine powered on the top end, electric on the low. Brabham Fan Car style system for all the downpounds all the time.
My Batmobile mini-rant: Why was the jet engine used so often? You're in a congested urban environment.
This, like the Tumbler, makes sense. Personally, I'd love to see a Group B-like Batmobile: enough ground clearance for curbs, 0-60 in nothing flat, and just the right-sized footprint.
Or the tank from the Dark Knight Returns:
I like it, can't wait to see it.
Jet turbine + electric is how I'd envision a future Batmobile. It'd sound like the Adam West or Keaton Batmobile then switch to all silent electric upon a crime scene.

And I hated the Tumbler. That thing was so stupid.
This looks pretty cool. I'm in.
But to each their own.
This one looks a bit more plausible and less over the top absurd than most other recent Batmobiles. I like it taken on its own - but I'm not entirely sure it's a Batmobile.

And painted in VantaBlack (or whatever it is) for maximum stealth mode at night.
