Is there any truth to the saying "What's old is new again?" If Nissan's Pike Cars are anything to go by, the saying is true two times over.

Back the late ’80s and early ’90s, Nissan built a line of retro-inspired kei cars for the Japanese domestic market.

Collectedly named after the Pike factory they were built in, the Be-1, Pao, S-Cargo and Figaro have started appearing here in the United States now that they are 25 years or older.

I have a real soft spot for the Figaro. It’s a shame that parts are so hard to find for these cars.

The fellow just up the road from me tried to corner the market on Figaros.  He had over 300 at one time.  Duncan Imports.

The S-Cargo reminds me of a terrible joke: Why did the snail paint a giant S on the side of his automobile? So when he took off fast from a stop light, people would say "Look at that S car go!"
