I was trying to find the 2020 schedule just the other day.  I want to run it in the car that I've just built.

A Cheetah inspired roadster.   I built a space frame for C4 Vette suspension and made the body.  I just got it on the road.  It's 1840lbs wet with a SBC.  I have an LS engine and can get the weight lower.  Of course I would need to safety prep the car for competition.

The body in the picture is how it came out of the molds. It's not painted yet.  I laid the stripe out with Duct Tape to see if I like it.

Anybody know what it costs to enter?  I want to say previous years it was around $1000 to enter, plus fuel/food/accommodations obviously.  A buddy of mine seems very interested and I've wanted to run my car in it for years, just never had a willing or skilled co-driver.

not sure where you got $1000 from but it's $3000 at this time and your budget for gas, hotels, cheap tires and other consumables for the week should bring the total budget including the entry fee to $5-6k at minimum for a very cheap and economical platform.

I’m pretty sure it was $2k back in 2009, and I think $2500 in 2011?  It’s been $3k, though since 2015 iirc.

In 2007 I think the entry fee was $2500.  Back then we spent $6000 to run between the entry fee, tires, food, hotels, gas, etc, etc, etc.
