The 90-driver cap for the Pine Mountain HillClimb Presented by Summit Racing and Grassroots Motorsports has nearly been reached, as MotorsportReg shows 81 souls entered for the April 22-24 event in Pineville, Kentucky.

Did you catch Summit Racing listed as a presenting partner? As noted by Heyward Wagner, the event lead, Summit Racing offers a one-stop solution for everything a first-time hillclimb participant needs, from the helmet and driving suit to the racing seat and fire-suppression system. Then add in everything else found in its catalog: tires and brakes, consumables and speed parts.

The Pine Mountain HillClimb will be hosted by the East Tennessee Region SCCA, a member of the Appalachian HillClimb Series.

That's too far away for me but do you have any info on the Charger in the photo?

In reply to slantsix :

It was easily the most beautiful car at the event last year.

That's Matt Foster's '68 Charger. I'll see what we can dig up.

The idea of running a Charger at an event like that is a bucket-list dream.

Fun fact, I was actually born in Middlesboro, not far from the location of the HillClimb.

I've driven the road they use for the event, and I can confirm that, even at slow speeds, is really fun to drive.

Im going to try to be a roving pit crew and spectator. See if i can get a feel for hillclimbs before starting to do them.
