I know there's $50,000 on the line, but does anyone really lose in a race like this? It should make for some excellent viewing.

NASCAR champions. IndyCar champions. IMSA champions. Le Mans winners. Daytona 24 winners. You’ll find all of the above and then some for the recently announced SpeedTour All-Star Race at Lime Rock Park on July 19-20.
The special event will pair the all-star drivers with competitors from the Trans Am Series TA2 class in a 60-minute race.
Here’s the list of 16 legends committed to the race:
How will this work? The all-star driver qualifies and starts the race before a mid-race five-minute pit stop that allows for an existing TA2 driver to substitute.
What makes this race even more special is that the winning team doesn’t only get a trophy, but also a $50,000 prize.
The two-day event will also include racing from Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA), Prototype Sprint Series Association presented by Hankook (PSSA), Canada’s Nissan Sentra Cup, and F1600 Canada.

In reply to Colin Wood :
I can't argue against that. It'll be interesting to see how some of the legends who still actively race compete against those who don't compete as much.
