After a season of developing the Nissan Z GT4 for U.S. competition, the Z finally made a trip to victory lane on American soil. The biggest challenge Nissan and Nismo engineers had between here and Japan was the bumpier, less-than-perfect surfaces of courses in the States. They seem to have conquered that issue as the triumph took place at notoriously rough Sebring International Raceway.

Driving for Blackdog Speed Shop, Max Root and Tony Gaples drove the Nissan to a class win in Pirelli GT4 America competition.
“When you are a veteran racer, it feels good to do a first,” said Gaples in a press release. “We’re proud to do this for Nissan and Blackdog, and really proud to have Max part of it.”
“This is really special to be the first winner for Nissan in the series,” Root said. “To do it with Tony and Blackdog is super special. Sebring is a bumpy place and Tony did a phenomenal job bringing it home for us.”
Nissan also expressed its joy.
“This first win is for all of the Nissan employees, dealers and fans who support our passion for performance and cheered us on,” said Mike Carcamo, Program Director, Sports, Nismo, Infiniti, and Motorsports, Nissan Motor Corporation. “To have the first Nissan Z GT4 win be at Sebring, with so much Nissan history, makes it sweet. We can’t wait for the rest of the season.”

I saw my second privately owned Z this weekend!
😁 I am, apparently, not the only one who has not spied the latest Z out and about on the streets. Truth be told, I haven't seen one in a showroom either, but that could possibly due to the fact I haven't looked.

I've only seen a handful. New Zs regularly show up in my Facebook Marketplace feed, though, such as this one:

Probably would sell a lot more if it had rear seats, even tiny ones.

MSRP for a Z Nismo is $65,750. I've actually seen higher prices when they first started rolling into dealers near me, but they have come back down a bit from outer space.
I have seen 3 in the wild so far.
