For 2025, the Pittsburgh International Race Complex will host the SCCA Time Trials Nationals. Our Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge, run in conjunction with the Time Trial Nationals, will also make the move to Pitt Race.

Just to be clear, this year’s events will still take place at NCM Motorsports Park in Kentucky on October 24-27, with UTCC on October 26-27. The change in venue starts next year, with the date set for September 18-21, 2025.

You may have noticed that the 2025 edition will be a three-day show instead of a four-day one. SCCA said that is to reduce “the time and cost commitment for participants.” Furthermore, the sanctioning body said, “the versatile facility also offers the ability to bring fresh ideas and new competition formats to the playing field, with multiple track layouts presenting thrilling challenges and–most importantly–the potential for even more fun.”

"We’re extremely excited for the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge’s upcoming move to Pitt Race—it’s a world-class facility in a part of the country full of incredibly fast track cars, so we can’t wait to see the new lap records our readers will set," said Tom Suddard, publisher of Grassroots Motorsports.

More details to be released at a later date for the 2025 Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty and Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge Presented by Grassroots Motorsports.

...so what happened to that 10-year contract NCM & SCCA signed in 2018 that would carry through the 2028 Nats?

I'm interested to know who broke the contract - SCCA or NCM management.

Welp, I've done the last 2 years of the TT National Tour at NCM with the goal of doing Nats in the next few years.  So much for that plan...

If you haven't run Pitt Race, here's a preview. It's not the ideal line and its slow, but its a tour of the full track.

Pitt race is a fun track!  I have thousands of laps on that track and probably still haven't mastered it.

It's more flowy than NCM.  It's probably a bit safer than NCM as well.

I'm not sure that the majority of people affected by this change are going to be happy. I also don't think that making it shorter in duration is a smart move.

I'm really psyched about the move for UTCC--no sound limits will remove a big stumbling block for the big cars, plus Pitt is way better for spectators and has the infrastructure to support a big event.

Honestly, I think Pitt Race is more run to race on, too, but I know that's subjective. I'd definitely argue it's safer.

I see you're in Cincinnati.  PittRace is only a little over an hour further away from Cinci than NCM is.

PittRace has definitely invested in their facility in the last 10 years, and they're not done yet.  Was there for the national tour event this weekend, and they've got active construction for new building(s) right now.  It has come a long way from when it was BeaveRun.
