Super Vee; I got to drive a few laps in one ages ago.
Come the first of July, Volkswagen Motorsport will be no more:
“After 55 years, Volkswagen Motorsport is bidding farewell to the racetracks and rally routes of this world. At the end of June, it will be incorporated in Volkswagen AG, marking the end of an era.”
During those years, Volkswagen Motorsport has made entries into virtually all disciplines of motorsports, from open-wheel racing like Formula Vee and Formula 3, to off-road series like the Dakar Rally and the WRC.
[Remember that time VW sent a twin-engine Golf up Pikes Peak?]
As a way to say goodbye, VW Motorsport has released a free poster titled “From Start To Finish,” which you can download here.
What is one of your favorite moments or machines from VW Motorsport?
So does this mean that VW racing will be done by the parent company and not a subsidiary? Kinda how it reads to me, not the end of factory VW race cars.
I have never raced a VW, but my old Golf was pretty good at handbrake turns in the snow and I've had some fun playing tag with an LS7-powered 911.

When was that?
Well, Formula Vee, for example :D
