There is one down the street a mile away from me ,
I never knew who built them :)

What you are looking at isn’t a kit car for a Jaguar Mark 2, it’s actually called the Viewt, made by Japanese car maker Mitsuoka Motors.
Where other manufacturers might try to add some retro touches to a new car model, Mitsuoka, instead, bases their lineup on pre-existing machines, and then tacks on as much retro styling as they can–often redesigning the front and rear ends of the donor vehicle.
For the Viewt, this means that underneath that British-looking front end sits a Nissan March (or Micra, depending on the market).
[Mitsuoka Motors also sells the Rock Star, an ND Miata made to look like an old-school Corvette.]
Aside from the exterior restyling, not much else was changed. Powertrain and interior were carried over from the donor car, though leather seats and wood trim were available optional equipment.
Sound like your kind of unique? Lucky for you, our good friends at Duncan Imports have three for sale, which you can view here.
My first thought was that it looked more British Car Faire than Radwood, and about 2 decades too soon. Seeing it with an '80s Japanese econobox interior and transverse four banger wasn't what I expected - it looked like it should have tweed upholstery, a plywood dash, and a tractor engine driving the rear wheels. :)
In reply to MadScientistMatt :
It kinda fits almost anywhere: Radwood, Cars & Coffee, British car day, Monterey, etc.
