I'm eager to see how he performs.

IMSA recently revealed the entry list to this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona. It consists of a total of 61 cars — 12 GTP, 12 LMP2, 15 GTD Pro (largest field ever), and 22 GTD.
What’s new for 2025? Of course, many driver lineups have changed, but this year will also mark the first Rolex 24 for the Lamborghini GTP. Wayne Taylor Racing will field two Cadillac GTP entries. Likewise, Meyer Shank Racing returns with two Acura GTPs. Aston Martin will debut its GTP car at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
Another note of interest: Ferrari will have a total of seven GTD entries, the most among manufacturers in the large 22-car field.
The list of drivers, so far, include seven IMSA season champs and nine Rolex 24 overall winners.
Lastly, qualifying will now return to the Rolex 24 race weekend rather than being run during the Roar Before the Rolex 24. The Roar returns to being a preseason test.
And don't forget that Kevin Magnussen, fresh from F1, will be piloting the No. 24 BMW M Hybrid V8.
I'm eager to see how he performs.
Nice to see such a deep field with plenty of entries in every class. I'm not a sportscar superfan but it really seems like Nascar's management of IMSA is going quite well.
Still, I think it is colossally stupid to have two separate classes for identical cars at the biggest pro sportscar race in the country. It waters down the competition just so they can hand out more trophies to slower drivers. Also, I think they would benefit from simplifying the class naming for the casual fan: P1, P2, and GT would do just fine IMO.

Agreed! It's definitely a good time to follow professional sports car racing. Between the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, there's seemingly a car for everyone.
I'll be there for the 8th or 9th year in a row. My buddy that I'm going with is always joking that we should drive to the race some day, but it's a long way from Seattle, and winter weather could be problematic.
These are the golden days of sports car racing! The Rolex is such a great event for so many reasons, and getting to see so many top-flight drivers is on of them.

Yeah, that is a bit of a drive.
Glad to see so many people interested in the race. Is everyone coming for the Roar, too?
My buddy and I actually discussed it, but we are going to take the money that it would have cost to go to the Roar (extra lodging) and go to the Long Beach Indycar/IMSA race instead. That is also a fantastic event, but the spectating is so much better at Daytona.
