Classic British sedan you say?
I concur.
Thankfully in this day and age, family cars don't always have to be boring. However, if you want something truly off-the-wall, why not try a quirky, vintage British family car as a practical alternative?
You can have all the old-world charm of an MGB or a TR6, but with a usable trunk and a backseat that can carry the kids, the dogs or whatever you may need to haul.

I realize they aren't exciting choices, but I would be interested in a Ford Cortina GT (MK I or MK II) or even a RWD Ford Escort. The Escort wouldn't need to be anything special, though a model with full factory instrumentation would be nice. Then there are the Sierras...especially a wagon.
You can keep the more "exotic" sedans like Jaguars and Rovers.
