The countdown has begun. My bags are packed, and soon I fly to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the fourth annual Women with Drive Summit.

But Paris, what is Women with Drive? Well, I’m glad you asked.

Women with Drive is part of Women in Motorsports North America, a group better known as WIMNA. This organization strives to create a strong community devoted to supporting opportunities for women across all disciplines of motorsport.

The Women with Drive Summit–this year held right before the PRI Show–helps cultivate this goal by bringing together the most successful and influential people in motorsports. At the summit, these leaders will discuss current issues within the industry as well as ways to advance opportunities for a more diverse and inclusive environment.

Two of the panels for this year’s summit that I am personally looking forward to the most?  “The Global Impact of Women in Motorsports” and “Surprising Paths to CEO: Inspiring Women’s Success.”

But this summit isn’t just panels, as there are also breakout sessions and driver workshops. These talks will cover topics regarding mentoring, work-life balance, crisis communication and the business side of racing.

I am honored and proud to be attending this year. I will be meeting and learning from the current leaders in motorsports on how I can impact not just the industry but also future generations. And don’t worry, I’ll make sure to bring back plenty of stories to share with you all.

I feel a little ashamed that I've never heard of the Summit before–there are certainly a lot of big names sponsoring the event.

I'm eager to hear more about what you learn, Paris. smiley

MAV-TV (channel 214 on Direct TV) often shows the discussions on its channel.  It's pretty interesting to hear from past and current drivers, engineers, etc.

Enjoy the event.

In reply to Coniglio Rampante :

Thank you! I am very honored to be going. It will also be my first time in Indianapolis, so I'm excited to explore the area while I'm there. Only thing I'm not looking forward to is the weather haha. I am a warm weather girl so I don't think I even have clothes capable of handling 30 degree weather.

In reply to Colin Wood :

It's okay Colin haha. But hey, I think they do live streams of the event so maybe you could show your daughter. She already wanted to sit in all the race cars at HSR so why not have her see all the trail blazing women in the industry.
