That seems like a pretty good price. I'd 100% take it over the spec miatas that are usually in that price range. Well until you get to the turbo bit. Buying a broken car is always a big risk. It could be simple, it could not.

What’s more appealing than a track car for sale? How about one for sale from a motivated seller? Such is the case for this Mk4 Volkswagen GTI.
The listing states that the GTI is powered by a recently rebuilt AWP 1.8T engine good for 275 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque.
Used by the seller to compete in NASA ST4 for the past few years, the VW is also fitted with a full roll cage, F21 turbocharger, Haltech elite 1500 ECU plus iC-7 dash and Ksport coil-overs.
“As it sits right now,” notes the seller, the car will need a new front windshield and potentially a new turbocharger as the one currently fitted “won’t boost past 5psi.”
Find this 2005 Volkswagen GTI listed on Facebook Marketplace for $14,000.
