There was a time when you’d regularly see an early Ford Fiesta at a local autocross. Upon spying that car in the paddock, you immediately knew that person wore a cool hat, drank RC Cola and still used a beam-type torque wrench.
Sadly, that was many moons ago. Before the internet. Heck, back when spinning vinyl wasn’t viewed as retro.
But here’s your chance to relive those days with this 1979 Ford Fiesta.
What we know about it:
First, it sounds bitching–more Formula Ford, obviously, instead of straight-piped Civic.
It has a manual box.
Hella lamps on the bumper, too, with one already in squirrel-chaser position.
And is that a Suicidal Tendencies sticker in the window? And Misfits and Vans on the seat back?
The ad notes some more character: exhaust looks horrible, transmission linkage out of adjustment, some body rust and a paint job clearly done in a dim garage. In short, it rules.
Asking price is $3500, with the car appropriately located in Dearborn, Michigan.
