Were you or a loved one affected by the void left after Ford discontinued the original F-150 Lightning?
Shelby Automobiles were impacted pretty severely, too–enough so that the company took it upon itself to make a replacement in the early 2000s.
The result? The Shelby GT150.
The final example of only three ever made, the GT150 features a supercharged 5.4-liter V8, and even gets a spot in the Shelby Registry.
Other notable modifications made by Shelby include a “race-inspired” suspension, Ford Racing exhaust and Baer brake calipers with slotted rotors.
Find this 2006 Ford Shelby GT150 Prototype Pickup up for auction from Mecum on October 5 with an estimated value of $120,000-$140,000.

Shelby had his name on a pickup in the '80s... it wasn't this!
