I didn't really know about the Scimitar SS1, so color me interested.
If it didn't have the CA18ET engine, though, I don't think I'd be as interested.

The Reliant Scimitar feels like a bit of hodgepodge. Why?
Well, it’s powered by a Nissan turbocharged engine while sitting on an Elan- and Vauxhall-inspired chassis built by Lotus. Plus, it has Porsche 928-style headlights, but they’re square.
The styling came from Giovanni Michelotti. He designed around 1200 cars for a wide range of manufacturers, including Ferrari, Lancia, Maserati and Triumph.
Imported from England and accompanied by a U.S. title, this Scimitar also features a tubular monocoque design, fiberglass body and cantilever coil-over front suspension.
Find this 1988 Reliant Scimitar SS1 for sale on Facebook Marketplace with an asking price of $14,250.

This is frighteningly close to me if someone wants eyes on it. Several are being seriously abused in English "Sporting Trials", see video from Lands End and Sims Hill. Produced alongside the last Robbins, it was supposed to save Reliant. Sorry guys, nice try.
