Why settle for just any 350Z, when you could have the bragging rights of owning the first one ever made?

This 2003 Nissan 350Z carries serial No. 0001 and shows just 230 miles since new (an average of roughly 11 miles a year).

What has the 350Z been up to since rolling off the assembly line? It has spent the last 20 or so years on display at two Nissan showrooms, one in Washington state and the other in Texas.

Find this 2003 Nissan 350Z up for auction from Mecum. As a point of reference, Hagerty currently values a 350Z of this vintage in No. 1 condition at $30,000-$40,000.

Cool find but wonder what it will bring.

Any guesses?

It depends on how bad Nissan wants the car back.  One has to wonder why Nissan didn't keep the 1st car to begin with.

VIN 004 is a one owner, white, base stick shift. It's in my Mothers garage. I'm guessing 20k or so miles on it at this point.

I don't think it will bring much, #2 has been for sale a few times in the high teens, low 20s.
