Can’t buy the car of your dreams? Then build it.
When HaveBlue83 introduced this project on the GRM forum back in 2014, that was the stated goal: Build that which cannot be imported–which, in this case, was a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III.
The starting point for the U.S.-based recreation? A 1993 Eagle Summit DL coupe–a base model, too, the thread states.
The 10-year odyssey has covered engines and turbos, downpipes and tunes. The latest? As wheel horsepower approaches the 400 mark–371 along with 353 lb.-ft.–we hear that an automatic with paddles might be in the car’s future.
