Love the Speedster Baby Grand.
After the hillclimb Mazda RX-7 was parted out, user DaveEstey didn't waste any time getting a replacement race car in order: a chop-top Baby Grand stock car converted to road racing specs. The icing on the cake? Power comes from a first-generation Hayabusa.
The plan is to prep the car for hillclimbing and even some road racing around New England, and DaveEstey has already made some progress–and discovered some not-so-great news. Dropping the engine revealed some very sketchy-looking mechanical fixes–like a drill bit used as a push rod for the clutch slave–while some of the welding can best be described as very bad.
