That has all the makings of a monster. Niiiiice.
The ASA Late Model Series may have met a controversial end, but it still managed to produce some solid race machinery, such as forum user jh36’s newly acquired Late Model stock car. According to the build thread, the car was previously driven by Deren Ardinger and has been set up for road racing.
As luck would have it, a second chassis and a plentiful bounty of spare parts was also included, which, jh36 admits, was what sealed the deal.
A few different ideas were tossed around for this build, but the plan for now is to skin the running car with a fiberglass body resembling a first-generation Camaro and retain its “understressed” LS1 engine.
To see where this build ends up, make sure to follow the build thread, which can be found over on the Builds and Project Cars forum.
