Like many great build threads here on the forum, user TheTallOne17's project starts with pulling a broken car out of a storage unit. In this case, that broken car in question is a Fiat X1/9.
The Fiat's new purpose? The elegant and careful lifestyle of a Lemons race car. A year after the car's purchase, it ran its first race the NOLA Motorsports Park where it finished second in its class.
The X1/9 would get a few more events under its belt, but TheTallOne17 soon realized that the little Fiat was down on power. The answer to the problem? a Lemons-appropriate, non-VTEC Honda four-cylinder engine.
The most recent update since this adventure started? Getting a proper racing fuel tank safely plumbed in the front trunk of the Fiat.
