One thing i really like about this is that I can clearly see the water pump.
How does forum user Wicked93gs kick off this build thread? With an admission: "My builds these days stray so far off the beaten path (even when using conventional cars like mustangs) that I feel I am better off coming to a place like GRM instead." We think you'll fit in just fine here, Wicked93gs.
As for the project in question, it's a pretty rough-around-the-edges 1966 Ford Mustang. Some might go more traditional and drop in an old-school Ford small block, while other might go more modern and swap in a Coyote engine—but that's not what Wicked93gs is doing.
Instead, Wicked93gs is opting for a Cyclone V6 found in various other models ranging from the Ford Mustang to the Lincoln Continental. Before the engine could go in, though, the first big step was to fix any and all rust problems. Then, it was on to the fun part of modifying the chassis so that there would be enough room to actually fit the V6 and its running gear.
At the time this was written, the most recent updates include fabbing up some custom velocity stacks for the intake, as well as sandblasting the entire frame with the help of a rotisserie.
