Sometimes, the best way to get that dream project car built is to simply dive in headfirst and figure everything out as you go along. Such is the case for forum member Japrnoo, who has recently started turning a Datsun 510 into their very first race car.
Specifically, the 510 is being built to participate in a Finnish racing class called Roadsport, with Japrnoo admitting that much of the build will be done “for the first time in my life.”
Of course, a lack of experience doesn’t appear to be slowing Japrnoo down, as upgraded brakes, sturdier suspension and a racing fuel tank have been fitted. Plus, the body has been cleaned up and any rust spots have been addressed.
