I wonder if they could make a mold of my GT6 fibreglass front nose ?
Voila! One bright-orange nose section.
Plastic wedges are used to pop the body out of its mold. Plastic wedges are used to pop the body out of its mold.
Our LeGrand body is nearing completion. Once the lay-up process is complete, the fiberglass needs to cure for 24 hours. After that, plastic wedges are used to slowly pry the body out of its mold. The process takes just a few minutes.
The completed nose weighs just 28 pounds—an 11-pound savings over the one we’ve been racing with.
