blue to green to orange, what's next?
The existing body for our LeGrand looks good, but we're going to make a new one that's both lighter and stronger.
The molds had been sitting behind our office for several years—until now.
We've got our choice of gelcoat colors. We're going with International Orange.
Our LeGrand came with its original molds, and we’re using them to have a few new bodies made. Why? Well, Per’s dad needs a body for his car, so this seemed like a good time to make a fresh one for our project as well. The goal will be to make it lighter and stronger than the current one, which is quite heavy after its prior repairs.
Fiberglass work is pretty specialized, so we’ve hooked up with a local expert who makes enduro-style shifter kart bodywork as well as roundy-round panels. He’s going to handle the messy work, and he’s even letting us choose the color—meaning we’ll be changing our car from its Porsche Signal Green to a bright orange. It’s time for a makeover!
