Love the car!!! I've always wanted a LeGrand to compete in D Mod. Where are the best sites to dig one up for sale? I've looked with very little to no success.
The axles are rifle-drilled for lightness.
The uprights and hubs are works of art.
It took some time getting all of the suspension links back together.
The positioning of the differential required that the axles have some upward angle, but it's only 4 degrees--well within their working limits. The plus side is that the differential is positioned for a very low center of gravity.
We got our new axles and uprights from Fast Forward Racing Components and have spent the last week getting the car back together. Both the axles and the uprights were perfect and required no fiddling or extra work to get the job done—simply flawless as delivered.
Next up, we’ll be taking the car to its first event since the Dixie Tour in early 2009. There’s an upcoming event in Jacksonville on concrete that should serve as a great opportunity to see how our new differential works.

Thanks, LeGrands are one of the 'hot' cars for B Modified where we run. I think DM is more Lotus 7 type stuff these days. Anyway, you can find them occasionally for sale on

That's where we placed our original 'car wanted' post.
There are also other options, like AMacs, etc. that are pretty darn close.
Haha - yeah I meant B Mod :-) I've recently switched from a Nationally prepped STU Evo to a F125 Top Kart and have always had a goal of ending up in a LeGrand in BMod. My Grandfather used to road race LeGrands back in the day and the thought of dropping a GSXer motor of Hayabusa in one of those bad boys makes me drool!!!
