With about 2 months to go before our first rally in the Saab, it’s time to start figuring out what all we need to do for the 2008 rally season starts. Here’s our first crack at the list of stuff to do:
1) Cage Work a) finish gussets (done) b) mount window nets c) weld in seat mounts d) paint cage
2) Car and Safety Gear Work a) source and mount two FIA approved seats b) source and mount two sets of harnesses c) source and mount window nets (just in case a window breaks) d) reinstall interior pieces/dashboard bits e) get and mount tools in trunk f) paint trunk interior g) mount Safe Drives First Aid Kit. h) mount Brantz rally computer i) source and mount intercom system j) install new windshield k) install new rear view mirror
3) Drivetrain a) R&R engine/transmission to install Gripper LSD, using newer 5-speed transmission, header, etc. (may wait until after Sandblast)
4) Paperwork a) renew Nasa membership b) renew Nasa Rallysport license c) register for Sandblast 2008
