Last night’s project was to strip the car’s lights, door handles and door panels to get ready for paint. We also finished up working over the left rear wheel arch. It’s close to perfect, and any remaining defects will be covered up by the trim we’ll be installing from a later 900.
With the lights and fiddly bits removed, we can sand and prep the car properly. Also, by removing parts, we can clean them and reinstall them without covering them with overspray in the process.
The only thing we won’t be painting (at this time) is the hood clamshell and the roof.
