Need parts for your BMW? Look no farther than FCP Euro.
The FCP Euro staff are enthusiasts, too.
Al Taylor's parts inventory, is organized a little differently.
Next up for our project BMW 318is is to find a source for parts. As we mentioned earlier, we invited FCP Euro to partner with us on this project.
We started searching their website. From driving lights to an alternator, to engine gaskets, FCP Euro had virtually every E30 part we could imagine. We checked their prices against competitors and found them to be quite in line, if not better. We also liked the feature on the site that told us if any given part was genuine BMW, an original BMW supplier or an aftermarket part.
While FCP Euro is a fantastic source for new parts for our 318is, like any older project car, there are some parts that are just not available new, or too expensive to buy new.
Enter Al Taylor Sport Cars.
We have known Al Taylor for over 25 years and have found him to be honorable, very knowledgeable and in possession of about any part for an older BMW, Alfa Romeo or Mercedes-Benz.
He also sells things quite reasonably. There is one downside, and that is Al Taylor is just a wee bit touched. If you can deal with emails or calls at crazy hours, and store front that looks a bit different than a Walmart store, then you will really like Al Taylor.
Thanks to a visit to Al, we were able to source a nearly perfect E30 dashboard, a super rare small-case limited-slip differential, and some trim pieces for just a few hundred bucks.
