1991 Isuzu Trooper

Essentially a Japanese Land Rover, this Isuzu Trooper was purchased bone-stock less than a mile from GRM Headquarters and currently does triple-duty as a daily driver, parts hauler, and off-road toy.

Modifications include a 9,000 pound winch on a homemade mount, a 3" lift, a Safari Snorkel, a Lokka rear differential locker, a class VI trailer hitch, CB and HAM radios, 5 15x7 "Snowflake" wheels wrapped in 31x10.50 r15 General Grabber AT2 Tires, Hella driving lights, a Thule roof rack, an Engel fridge, a roof-top-tent, a Hi-Lift jack, and a homemade drawer system. Also, we replaced weak factory 4l30e automatic transmission with an Isuzu MUA5 manual transmission, and upgraded the stock 2.8 V6 to a GM Performance 3.4 liter HT V6.

Future plans include additional camp lighting, and a run on the Trans-America Trail.
