A lot of times, we get a little too caught up on spring rates, tire pressures and cam timing. Sometimes, removing one’s head from one’s posterior can make all the difference in the world. We ran with the Martin Sports Car Club today, and just having a cool head helped. No, we didn’t win, but compared to last time, we closed the gap between us and the winning car. (Just wait until we get our Camaro.)

Speaking of cool heads, it was really, really cold today and everyone was battling a lack of grip. We ran our BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD tires, and pressures were 35 psi front and 38 psi rear. The car actually felt well. There was a little more wheelspin that desired at the start, but after the first turn the car felt pretty okay. It felt great in the slalom.

Oh yeah, a pretty big branch fell on the car last night, but we think everything is okay. Soon it’s going back to the bodyshop for a little touch-up work, too.
