On Sunday, we took the Civic to the Martin Sports Car Club’s March autocross at the Lake County Technical Center in Tavares, Fla. It was a pretty tight course that featured lots of slaloms. We ran our usual 35 psi all around, and the car felt good.
A lack of R-compound race tires had us a little off the pace, as the two cars that beat us were so equipped. Still, we finished third out of five cars in the G Prepared class. In theory, this will be our last Martin event on street tires. We’ll be in DeLand this weekend to run with the SCCA.
