One of our many trips to the penalty box. This visit was thanks to wheel-to-wheel contact with another car.
Our driver is certain he's blameless, but the rest of us aren't so sure. Regardless of fault, the contact was with these guys in their Caprice.
A bit of wheel damage happened, but it's nothing Wheels America can't cure.
If you’ve seen our yellow Miata at a recent 24 Hours of LeMons race, you’ve probably noticed it’s on a set of black Team Dynamics wheels. At our last race at Barber Motorsports Park, a little wheel-to-wheel contact—literally—put some hard marks onto them.
Now we’re preparing for our upcoming LeMons race at Sebring, (hey, slacker, the application deadline is next week) and we need wheels that are properly straight and round. These Team Dynamics wheels aren’t cheap, they’re the right fitment and they’re high quality. We wanted to keep them, but they’re not much use if they’re not round and straight.
So, we’re packing them up and shipping them out to Wheels America. They’re also obliging a special request: a color change. We’re going with bronze, because black wheels can be tough to photograph. Besides, we like a little variety. Let’s see what happens.
