This job wasn't nearly as bad as some experiences we've had with Miata mounts.
Cracked rubber is not very effective at holding an engine in place.

We realized from a super-wobbly shift knob and several accidental 2-to-5 shifts that the motor mounts in our Sunburst Yellow 1992 Mazda Miata were shot. The engine was flopping around so much that we went an entire gate over when shifting gears under hard throttle.

So, we got new mounts. Our local parts store had them in stock. With access to a lift and a tall transmission jack to get the engine’s weight off the mounts, replacing them was easy-peasy.

What mounts did you use? I am guessing generic replacements, but still, I am curious of the brand, cost, etc.
